Dynapac strengthens its presence in Malaysia
On September 1, 2009, the Dynapac Business Unit of Compact Equipment Sdn. Bhd. was acquired by Atlas Copco Malaysia. Compact Equipment is the distributor of the complete range of Dynapac road construction and light construction equipment in Malaysia. Following the acquisition, the sales and service staff of Compact Equipment will be integrated into Atlas Copco Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. and continue to serve Dynapac customers in the region.

Compact Equipment Sdn. Bhd. has its head office in Petaling Jaya, Selangor. Atlas Copco Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. is located in Shah Alam, Selangor. The present General Manager of Compact Equipment, Mr Ricky Chen, will take on the responsibility of Business Line Manager for the Dynapac range within Atlas Copco Malaysia. “We are very pleased about this opportunity to strengthen our presence in Malaysia. The integration of Compact Equipment will allow us to keep the highly experienced sales- and service staff onboard, and at the same time develop the business further within Atlas Copco´s own local organization”, says Harry Wong, General Manager for Dynapac / Atlas Copco Road Construction Equipment in East Asia. Dynapac puts strong focus on offering customers qualified application expertise and superior service support. The integration of Compact Equipment is an important move towards building an even stronger platform for serving customers both in Malaysia, as well as Dynapac dealers and customers in the whole South East Asia region. To further secure deliveries and fast access to spare and wear parts, a combined distribution centre for Dynapac and Atlas Copco equipment is planned to open in Asia in 2010. |
